Veterinary Technician – Advanced Procedures & Radiation Therapy

Virginia Veterinary Centers is seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team and play a key role in advanced medical, diagnostic, and radiation therapy procedures.

Compensation:

+ $26 - $30 based on experience, skill set, & certification

Schedule:

+ Four 10-hour shifts

+ One 12-hour on-call shift in ER per month after cross training

+ This will be a Monday-Friday department eventually.

Your Role:

- Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre-medication, intubation, surgical prep, and monitoring

- Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions

- Maintain and place IV catheters, ensuring proper patient care

- Accurately administer and document controlled substances & chemotherapy medications

- Provide compassionate client communication, from triage to discharge

- Ensure proper medical record documentation and OSHA compliance
