    Description of Duties

    This is a senior-level professional nursing position responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring nursing education and orientation programs at Monroe Community Hospital. Work is conducted in accordance with mandatory education requirements and current nursing practices. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of an administrative-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a subordinate staff. Does related work as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

    (A) Graduation with a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Healthcare Management, or a closely related field; OR,

     

    (B) Graduation with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree as defined in (A) above, plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Registered Professional Nurse; OR,

     

    (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Possession of a New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse at the time of appointment.
