Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Farmers Branch, Texas. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial records, preparing monthly sales tax returns, and ensuring accurate account balances.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and prepare monthly sales tax returns to ensure compliance with local and state jurisdictions

• Oversee and maintain the fixed assets system, including preparing monthly depreciation journal entries

• Regularly verify account balances to ensure financial integrity

• Assist with the accounting of vehicle and real estate leases

• Contribute to property tax accounting tasks

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely identification and resolution of variances

• Collaborate with the accounting team to facilitate the monthly financial close process

• Provide necessary documentation and detail for annual audits and special engagements as required

• Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support departmental objectives. Requirements • Must possess experience with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records.

• Proficiency in maintaining and updating the General Ledger is required.

• Experience in creating and posting Journal Entries for accurate record-keeping is necessary.

• Should be capable of conducting Month End Close operations, aiding in the timely conclusion of accounting periods.

• Knowledge of Sales Tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting is needed.

• Must have experience handling Fixed Assets, including their registration, tracking, and depreciation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for managing data and performing financial calculations.

• Mastery of Excel Formulas for efficient data processing and analysis is required.

• Should have experience in creating and managing Pivot Tables for detailed data analysis.
