Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing critical accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audit processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses to maintain financial accuracy.

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports to provide insights into company performance.

• Support external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

• Assist in the implementation and integration of Oracle Fusion into existing accounting processes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff as needed.

• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion required

• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion implementation (functional) processes preferred.

• Strong expertise in month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.

• Degree in Accounting required and CPA/CPA candidate highly preferred.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reporting.

• Prior experience supporting external audits and managing audit documentation.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
