    Adecco is partnering with a manufacturing facility in Billerica, MA to bring on a Manuel Machinist/Tool Room professional on 1st shift. This is a direct hire position!

     

    **Hours** : 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday

    **Pay** : $28-$32 an hour Depending on relatable experience

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist/Tool Room Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience working in a tool room environment, operating and setting up manual machining equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a precision-driven environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other tool room equipment to fabricate precision components.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.

    + Perform precision measuring and quality inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

    + Modify, repair, or fabricate custom tooling and fixtures to support production needs.

    + Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and refine components for improved performance.

    + Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all machined parts meet quality and efficiency standards.

    + Follow ISO procedures and company safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    + 3 to 5 years of experience in manual machining and tool room operations.

    + Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and drill presses.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications.

    + Strong understanding of metal properties, cutting speeds, and tooling selection.

    + Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.

    + Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    **Pay Details:** $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
