    Overview

     

    The **Project Engineer, Associate** provides technical & administrative information to others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all basic engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction; trouble-shoots engineering related installation problems. Works closely supervised and solves problems of limited scope and complexity.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for:

    1. Processing submittals.

    2. Processing RFI’s.

    3. Keeping up daily work tickets.

    4. Posting RFI’s and change orders.

    5. Tracking and managing change orders.

    6. Maintaining as-builts as work is completed.

    7. Documenting project issues/conditions.

    8. Maintaining organized and detailed project records.

    9. Submitting hours and cost codes.

    10. Obtaining permits, badges and access requests in advance

    11. Assists with preparing change orders.

    12. Manage project library.

    13. Participates in KPR (Key Project Review).

    Qualifications

    Education

    1. 0+ years of experience with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably from an ABET accredited program).

    Physical Requirements

    1. At times, required to access work areas that are accessible only by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladders or stairs that are under construction

    2. Must wear an M.C. Dean hard hat and safety glasses at all times while on the job site

    Abilities

    1. Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

    2. Sitting for extended periods of time.

    3. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

    4. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.

    5. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

    6. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

    7. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

    8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

    9. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
