Job Title: Office & Pension Administrator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Office & Pension Administrator to independently process pension applications and inquiries on defined benefit plans. The role involves responding to telephone calls, walk-in visits, and written requests from participants, unions, and Trustees. The ideal candidate will prepare and organize appeals, analyze records and related reports to determine proper action within the limits of Plan rules, and communicate verbally and in writing to explain and interpret plan procedures and rules. Additionally, the role includes disbursing monthly and/or weekly checks, balancing check registers monthly, preparing various trust reports annually and monthly, implementing Plan policies and procedures, and performing other duties within classification as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Process pension applications independently on defined benefit plans.
+ Respond to telephone calls, walk-in visits, and written requests from participants, unions, and Trustees.
+ Prepare and organize appeals.
+ Analyze records and related reports to determine proper action within Plan rules.
+ Communicate verbally and in writing to explain and interpret plan procedures and rules.
+ Disburse monthly and/or weekly checks, balance check registers monthly.
+ Prepare various trust reports annually and monthly.
+ Implement Plan policies and procedures.
+ Perform other duties within classification as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in pension administration.
+ Proficiency in mathematics and Microsoft Office.
+ Knowledge of pension plans and data entry.
+ 1+ year of related experience (Pension, 401k, legal).
+ Proficiency in basic math and customer service experience.
+ Accuracy in data entry and insurance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred pension analyst experience demonstrating the ability to handle multiple deadlines, work independently, and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
+ Knowledge, skill, and ability equivalent to a high school diploma.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Preferred experience using a PC and familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing applications, preferably Excel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
