Job Title: Engineer, Manufacturing and Process DevelopmentJob Description

We are seeking a dynamic Engineer specializing in Manufacturing and Process Development to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in LEANPD-driven new product development projects, striving for excellence in manufacturing technologies and methods while bridging the gap between product development and manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

+ Impact LEANPD-driven new product development projects significantly.

+ Drive excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.

+ Implement new manufacturing technologies to enhance process and tolerance control.

+ Act as a liaison between product development and manufacturing engineering to ensure an effective interface.

+ Support Product Development in optimizing designs for manufacturability and creating sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.

+ Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards.

+ Document all processes and tooling in applicable systems such as SAP and TLM.

+ Support the supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.

+ Initiate and implement programs to improve quality, cost, and cycle time continuously.

+ Adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in extrusion, Lean, DOE, DFMEA.

+ Thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function, including CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools.

+ Strong understanding of general engineering tools such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, and other LEAN or 6-sigma methodologies.

+ Deep technical knowledge of the relevant product domain.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in managing technical elements while maintaining performance and schedule.

+ Ability to act as a core team member or leader in project management contexts.

Work Environment

The role is a contract position lasting until the end of December 2025. The current site is closing, and extrusion lines are being moved to the Plymouth site. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a larger company environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
