    Job Description

    The Yard Team Member is responsible for the final movement of all pre-cast concrete pieces at the plant. They use industrial-sized equipment to load, offload, and transfer all pre-cast pieces. They are the final step in the pre-cast process before getting installed at the job site. The Yard Team Member works in all-weather climates and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while meeting company safety, quality, and productivity targets.

    Responsibilities

    + Load, offload, and transfer all pre-cast concrete pieces using industrial-sized equipment.

    + Ensure the final movement of pre-cast pieces before installation at job sites.

    + Work in all-weather climates to complete tasks.

    + Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of general labor experience.

    + Experience with forklifts.

    + General production and concrete handling skills.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Ability to bend repetitively.

    + Basic math skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work schedule is Monday to Friday, with 1st Shift from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 2nd Shift is 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and 3rd Shift starting at 12:00 AM and ending between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Some Saturdays may be required. The job environment can be very hot or cold depending on the weather and involves working both indoors and outdoors. Employees will be working in huge buildings with large equipment, which might be overwhelming for those not used to such environments. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hard hats are required; the company provides safety glasses and hard hats.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Beloit, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $23.23/hr.
