Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Housing Custodial Services including assisting with the hiring process, evaluating, supervision, and administration of all custodial employees.
+ Responsible for ensuring adequate supervision and scheduling of both routine and non-routine work on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis and conducting routine daily walks of buildings.
+ Responsible for the planning, and implementation of training programs for supervisory personnel, routine operations, and safety procedures occurs on a regularly scheduled basis.
+ Directing work against competing demands.
+ Responsible for maintaining linen for summer operations. This includes assisting with the purchasing of new and replacement linens, as well as, routine cleaning services. Contact linen services to schedule pick-up and delivery.
+ Inspect, and audit buildings and assign areas of compliance with cleaning guidelines. Prepare monthly reports and check work orders daily. Reports to work during inclement weather closing or as directed by the Facilities Services Director.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of the Building Maintenance Field as can be demonstrated with a BS in Business Management and/or 10 years of Management experience in the cleaning industry or related field.
