Position Summary
Oversee all facets of a NCAA Division III intercollegiate varsity sports program including recruiting, organizing and planning of practices, game strategies, fundraising and monitoring academic progress.

Major Responsibilities
Understanding of, and adherence to, the Utica University Athletic Department philosophy, NCAA and Empire 8 rules and regulations.
Recruit and retain prospective student-athletes giving them an opportunity to compete, and better themselves as student-athletes and individuals.
Plan and run daily practices sessions to ensure players are organized and prepared for games
Provide leadership to ensure that student-athletes have a positive experience, and monitor student-athletes’ academic success, providing direction when necessary.
Manage equipment usage (distribution and collection), order and maintain uniforms, balls, screens etc. Assist Athletic Director with game scheduling, transportation, and work with Sports Information department to ensure statistics and publications are accurate and updated.
Manage allocated budget.
Contribute time and assistance to team and department fundraising.
Must maintain a clean driving record as defined by University insurance carrier guidelines. Motor vehicle record will be monitored regularly using NYS License Event Notification Service or License Monitor, Inc.for out of state licenses. Will be required to attend van training annually.
Responsible for working with supervisor and other team members to achieve successful results on all established individual and departmental goals and key performance indicators.
May be required to perform other secondary duties as assigned such as teaching a physical education class or game management.

Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
3-5 years college coaching experience
Must possess a strong working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Must be certified in first aid, CPR and AED.
Minimum Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of women’s collegiate lacrosse
Interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work with diversified group
Strong organizational skills
Must be willing to travel
Must possess a valid driver’s license
