    Design Manager

    Job Description Summary

    As a member of the Capital Markets Property Marketing Hub, the Design Manager is responsible for planning, producing, and overseeing the creative strategy, implementation, and processes for a Capital Markets Graphic Design team. This position leads the Graphic Design team and collaborates with the broader Marketing team to execute strategic vision and to provide timely, consistent, and high-quality design work for our Brokerage Teams and Investor Clients.

     

    We are looking for a creative, organized, and highly motivated team member who brings strong design aesthetic, experienced leadership, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial sales environment.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    + Work with Capital Markets Property Marketing Hub Marketing Managers to develop and implement best practices to support operational excellence and build a effective marketing model that will deliver exceptional results

    + Oversee the Capital Markets Property Marketing Hub Graphic Designer Team both as a people manager and as a creative lead – working with the team to grow their design skillset, accomplish their goals, approach design to align with the strategic goals of the Brokerage Team and Client, and to create best-in-class property marketing deliverables

    + Design and format bespoke marketing materials including as needed

    + Ability to help translate complex ideas and data into simple to read, easy to understand design materials

    + Work with Brokerage Teams and Investor Clients, Hub Team Lead, Marketing team and Graphic Design team to creatively translate content into creative products

    + Serve as a liaison to 3rd party design vendors and print vendors as needed

    + Review creative output from Graphic Design team to ensure the work communicates critical messages and key value proposition to achieve business objectives and elevate Cushman & Wakefield’s brand

    + Manage internal workflow and prioritize total workload to ensure workload level matches allocated creative resources

    + Actively communicate with Marketing team around the priority, progress, deadlines, and any outstanding questions

    + Provide training and mentorship to Graphic Design team

    + Provide best practices, stay abreast of design trends, and encourage creativity on the Graphic Design team

    + Demonstrate a high level of creative development and production skill

    + Monitor and enforce corporate design standards on local marketing materials

    + Develop strong ties to colleagues in similar roles for effective sharing at a national level

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of senior-level design experience

    + Previous in-house corporate design experience is highly preferred

    + Previous design experience within the Commercial Real Estate sector is preferred

    + Experience in long-form design

    + Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is required

    + Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

    + Familiarity with a project management tool is highly preferred

    + Strong capability to work efficiently and independently to maintain high quality in a high-volume department

    + Experience leading and managing a team - must be an effective, results-oriented communicator and leader with a focus on team development

    + Ability to stay current with technological advances of design, specific to industry standards and best practices and to share and present on that knowledge

    + Must possess business acumen and knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and procedures

    + Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills - must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and be able to communicate clearly if bandwidth challenges arise

    + Self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative but works well in group environment

    The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

     

    The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

     

    The compensation for the position is: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00
