GENERAL SUMMARY

Department: Monitor Room1

24 hours per week- Part time Benefits- 7:00am-7:30pm @ Henry Ford Novi

Performs various activities regarding telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities:

+ Oversees and communicates cardiac patterns on telemetric devices.

+ Maintains telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory.

+ Documents irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat.

+ Forwards changes to nurse and/or attending physician for analysis and interpretation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

+ High School Diploma or GED required

+ BLS through the American Heart Association required

+ Prior EKG/telemetry experience preferred but not required.

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Requires completing a telemetry class and test to move forward with orientation. Rotating position, primary shift is on days, but may need to be assigned to nights on occasion to cover shifts due to vacations.
