    The **Genetic Counselor** functions in clinical, research, and educational capacities for medical genetics services across the network.

     

    This opening is for Pediatric Medical Genetics - t** **here are 80 staff members and 30 doctors

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + Master's degree from an American Board of Genetic counseling (ABGC) accredited genetic counseling program.

    + Maintains board eligibility and, once board certified, fulfills CEU requirements.

    + NJ Genetic Counseling License must be renewed every two years.

    + Eligible for Certification by American Board of Genetic Counseling. Must pass boards within 2 years of hire.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

    + Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.

    + Bilingual in Spanish.

    Licenses and Certifications Required:

    + NJ State Genetic Counselor License.
