Description

Our **Night Pharmacist** focuses on prioritizing and organizing the workload of pharmacy technical personnel on the night shift, taking into account available resources by providing leadership, clinical, educational, informational and distribution functions.

+ Assure the appropriateness of a medication order including age-specific and organ-specific factors, allergy checking, duplicate checking and drug interaction checking before preparing or permitting the distribution of the first dose.

+ Ensure the accuracy of records pertaining to controlled substances, medication compounding, prepackaging, and sterile product preparation.

+ Collect and organize all patient-specific information (medication work-up) including prevention, detection and resolution of medication-related problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy; licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

+ One year of hospital experience and PGY1 residency preferred.
