    Job Summary and Qualifications

    1. Preparation for Treatment *

     

    - Observation and/or records show treatment areas are prepared for patient care, including treatment rooms, gyms and wound care areas.

     

    2. Maintains work area*

     

    - Cleans department equipment and keeps department or assigned work area neat, following hospital housekeeping and infection control guidelines.

     

    3. Department Policy*

     

    - Demonstrates compliance with all department policies including but not limited to appropriate use of PTO and EIB.

     

    4. Customer Interaction*

     

    - Observation and feedback from staff and patients indicate that the technician appropriately communicates with patients and families, while demonstrating compassion

     

    5. Communication*

     

    - Records and observation demonstrate timely communication with physicians, therapists and other staff regarding any pertinent patient care information

     

    6. Education*

     

    - Completes all initial mandatory education within 3 months of hire to include orientations to hospital, CPR, department orientation and skills checklist.

     

    7. Clerical Function*

     

    - Assist with clerical functions as assigned including but not limited to answering phones, monitoring daily charges, maintaining supplies, filing, copying and maintenance of medical records

     

    8. Patient Care*

    - Assist patients in the treatment area

    9. Orientation and Training *

     

    - Facilities and oversees orientation of new hires, and volunteers

    Required – High School Graduation with basic computer skills

     

    Licensure

     

    Required - BLS CPR certification
