    *Position Summary

     

    *

    Examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.

     

    *Minimum Qualifications*

     

    *

    o *Minimum Education: *Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy Program approved by the CoARC.

    o *Minimum Work Experience: *Five (5) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare setting preferred.

    o *Licensure/Certifications: *Must be currently licensed by the State of NM as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must be registered with NBRC (RRT). Basic Life Support (BLS). Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP). Hold a secondary credential (NRP, ACCE, RPFT, CPFT) within one year.

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

     

    Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
