    Boeing Defense, Space & Security** (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior** **Qu** **ality Systems Engineer** to join our team located in **Saint Charles, MO.

     

    This position will be responsible for New Development for our Precision Engagement Quality team. Duties will include:

     

    + First Article Inspection (FAI) review and planning

    + Proposal development, BOE creation, and review of quality requirements

    + Work Movement quality support and flow down

    + Planning reviews and planning approvals

    + Advanced Product Quality Planning preferred

     

    Successful candidates will have Early Quality involvement experience, including Quality Requirement reviews, supplier clause flow down, and work movement experience.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

    + Provides interpretation of complex requirements.

    + Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

    + Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.

    + Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

    + Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

    + Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.

    + Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

    + Develops and implements corrective actions.

    + Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

    + Works under minimal direction.

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

     

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

    + More than 3 years of experience do you have in Quality / AS9100 / Aerospace Quality Processes (e.g. AS9102 FAI, AS9146 APQP, AS9146 FOD, ACSI/FCT/FC/DC processes)

    + More than 5 years of experience in Quality

    + More than 3 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment

    + More than 3 years of experience do you have with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions?

    + More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Experience with Enterprise Standard Gated Process (EGSP)

    + First Article Inspection (FAI) experience (i.e. AS9102)

    + 1+ year of experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts

    Typical Education & Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

    Summary pay range: USD 108,800 – 147,200
