Description
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, as well as administering employee benefits programs. This role involves maintaining payroll records, calculating wages and deductions, resolving discrepancies, and serving as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and benefits. The specialist will also support compliance with applicable laws and regulations and assist with audits and reporting as needed.

Requirements – Payroll and Benefits Specialist
Education and Experience:
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
+ Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
Soft Skills:
+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
