Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Hopewell, Virginia. In this role, you will support administrative functions, handle data entry tasks, and assist with various office duties to ensure smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your organizational skills and technical expertise in a local government environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input data into systems and maintain records with a high level of precision.

• Organize and manage both digital and physical files to ensure quick and easy access.

• Assist in the preparation and management of work orders and other administrative documents.

• Provide support to the manager by completing assigned administrative tasks efficiently.

• Handle incoming and outgoing email correspondence, ensuring timely responses and proper documentation.

• Perform calculations and data verification to maintain accuracy and consistency.

• Operate standard office equipment such as scanners to digitize and archive documents.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to create, edit, and manage spreadsheets and documents.

• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and providing accurate information.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold data security standards in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in 10-key typing and general typing skills with speed and accuracy.

• Strong customer service abilities with an attentive and courteous demeanor.

• Demonstrated experience in data entry and maintaining detailed records.

• Familiarity with email correspondence and ability to communicate effectively.

• Competence in using Microsoft Excel and Word for administrative tasks.

• Ability to organize files systematically and manage multiple priorities.

• Basic math skills to perform calculations and verify data.

• Experience with scanning documents and managing digital archives.
