Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production and assembly of high-quality products across two departments: Small Box and Long Box. You will be trained to use various tools and equipment, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of product creation and assembly. Your keen attention to detail will help identify and resolve issues promptly.
Responsibilities
+ In the Small Box department, build and assemble various electrical components including switch kits, rockers, waterproof rockers, and dual contractors.
+ Assemble electrical components and switches for special orders and create custom orders such as electrical boxes, bent arms, and cross tubes.
+ Assist in other areas of operations as needed, maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Document actions by completing production and quality forms, and conduct quality control checks, notifying leads and supervisors of concerns.
+ In the Long Box department, set up, operate, and tend drill press machines, package daily orders, and prepare necessary paperwork and records.
+ Assemble components for shipping and stock including pull-style systems and adjustable tarp axles, and create custom pieces for special orders.
+ Measure, weigh, and package orders ensuring proper paperwork is included, read detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly.
+ Assist in other areas of operations as needed, maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Document actions by completing production and quality forms, and conduct quality control checks, notifying leads and supervisors of concerns.
Essential Skills
+ Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
+ Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, and measure accurately.
+ Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production and documentation.
+ Understanding and maintaining quality and safety standards.
+ Ability to route and distribute materials.
+ Capability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with production, packaging, general labor, hand tools, power tools, packager, assembly, packing, and inspection.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
