Construction Laborer - Elgin, IL

1st Shift - $20hr - $25hr

Job Description

Join our team as a construction laborer where you will engage in production construction work by building modular trailers from scratch. This role involves repetitive installations of uniform 8-foot trailers. You will utilize basic hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you become self-sufficient in assembling and building the trailers.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain a fast-paced production workflow.

+ Become self-sufficient after training.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Basic carpentry skills.

+ Familiarity with construction and framing.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment on a large construction yard with warehouse buildings equipped with 20-foot garages. The setting allows for both indoor and outdoor work, adapting to weather conditions with garage doors that close during rain or cold weather and open during the summer. Standard working hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
