Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). This includes performing both SMT and Thru-hole soldering as well as mechanical assembly of boards. You will work on 16 multi-layer boards that start out heavy, weighing 45-50 lbs each, and gain additional weight during each process. The boards need to be reworked on both the top and bottom, requiring you to turn them over and lift them. You will also use a microscope periodically throughout the day and solder wires of various gauges.

Responsibilities

+ Solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs)

+ Perform SMT and Thru-hole soldering

+ Conduct mechanical assembly of boards

+ Handle multi-layer boards, lifting and turning them as needed

+ Rework boards on both top and bottom

+ Use a microscope periodically

+ Solder wires of various gauges

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in soldering components on circuit boards

+ Thru-hole soldering and surface mount soldering (SMT soldering)

+ IPC-610/J standard certification, current or expired

+ Ability to understand visual aids and wiring lists

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean, with a team size of 50 people. Each person has their own workbench equipped with tools. The available shifts are 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
