Job Title: 2nd Shift - Welder

Job Description

Join a leading trailer manufacturer and one of the largest employers in Dane County. As a 2nd Shift Welder, you will be performing MIG welding on mild steel, welding frames for trailers, and occasionally engaging in small fabrication duties such as cutting, bending, and assembly. You will also work off of blueprints. Please note that all weld tests will be conducted in Stoughton.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on mild steel

+ Weld frames for trailers

+ Carry out small fabrication duties including cutting, bending, and assembly

+ Work from blueprints

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of MIG welding experience

+ Experience with fitting

+ Proficiency in welding mild steel

+ Ability to read blueprints

+ Fabrication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1 year of blueprint reading experience

Work Environment

The 2nd shift runs from 4:00 pm to 3:00 am (Monday to Thursday) with possible overtime on Fridays. The facility is very large and not climate controlled, so it can be cool in the winters and hot in the summers. The environment is loud, and ear plugs are required. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate t-shirts, and steel toe shoes. Contractors must be clean-shaven for the respirator test and should come prepared with steel toe shoes on the first day to avoid delays in starting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of STOUGHTON, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
