Surgical Technician
As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Various shifts and settings are available across hospital and ambulatory care settings, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Responsibilities:
+ Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, maintaining sterile conditions, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
+ Preparation & Sterilization: Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring they are properly supplied and sterile; sterilize instruments and equipment.
+ Patient Care: Provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients before, during, and after surgery; assist in patient positioning and draping.
+ Documentation: Ensure concise, pertinent, and complete documentation using computerized medical record processes.
+ Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment; ensure clinical areas are properly stocked.
+ Compliance: Act in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and professional standards and policies.
Essential Skills:
+ Technical Competence: Demonstrated ability to perform routine surgical services and procedures.
+ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
+ Critical Thinking: Ability to assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
+ Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
+ Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
+ Empathy: Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
+ Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
+ Certification as a Surgical Technician.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
+ Preferred: One year of surgical experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
