BSWH’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Division of Psychology, is seeking a Texas-licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with interest/experience in working with pediatric populations to join our outstanding clinical team addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents. Embracing the practitioner-scholar model, we are looking for a pledged team player with a favorable work/training history who can work collaboratively with physicians and clinicians in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences as well as the Department of Pediatrics. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality patient care, state-of-the-art psychological assessment, provision of evidence-based interventions, and effective partnering with referring physicians, agencies, and other professionals to provide optimum service within our award-winning integrated health care system.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Direct clinical service to children (ages 2 through 18) and families in an outpatient multi-specialty clinic and in a children’s hospital setting.
+ Provide consultation, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions for a wide range of pediatric mental health, behavioral, and psychosocial concerns within a comprehensive health care setting.
+ Specific expertise desired in evaluating ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood disorders, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, Developmental Delay, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, using wide range of developmental and psychological measures (e.g., WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-V, WIAT-4, KTEA-3, GORT-4, Vineland-3, ADOS-2 Modules 1 through 4, CARS-2).
+ Conduct clinical teaching/supervision of Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, Psychiatry Residents, and medical students from Baylor College of Medicine.
+ Option to pursue scholarly interests in clinical/health psychology.
+ Onsite (full-time) presence at our McLane Children’s campus in Temple, Texas.

QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Doctoral degree in Child Clinical, Pediatric Psychology, or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from a university-based graduate program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Note: This requirement assumes completion of a one-year, pediatric-oriented pre-doctoral internship that is APA- or CPA-accredited, or its substantial equivalent, i.e., a member program of Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).
+ Texas license to practice Psychology issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP), or license-eligible in Texas. Note: This requirement assumes completion of one-year of Postdoctoral supervised training (1,750 hours), preferably from an APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Child Clinical or Pediatric Psychology or an APPIC-member program.
+ Preference given to candidates who are Board-certified in Child Clinical or Pediatric Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), or whose professional trajectory includes board certification when eligible.
