• Junior Software Architect

    Amentum (Dahlgren, VA)


    Amentum is seeking a Software/architect with at least 5 years of experience in software development to support Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) development teams in Dahlgren, Va.

    Junior Software Architect Responsibilities Include:

    + Providing direct support to the CPS SW lead SPC423 for CPS tasking

    + Working with Government personnel to ensure alignment of SW development with the overarching SW Roadmap leading to deployment of CPS

    + Working with government personnel to determine transition paths for the Software Sustainment Activity (SSA) for the following software components: AUR Flight Software, Missile in a Box, Low/Medium Fidelity Simulator, Weapon Control Software

    + Making plans for the transition of Roles and Responsibilities as determined by SSA Plan and ensure integration into SPC Contracts & Acquisition Plans.

    + Aiding in generating plans for how to ramp up our software teams to support critical activities in the next few years

    + Supporting personnel in the development of the SSA Plan to be delivered to SPC at the end of FY25.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Five years of applicable software development process related experience as well as applicable experience in development and leading software development teams.

    + Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
