    CTG is seeking to fill a Functional Verification Engineer with a Semiconductor & Emulation Focus opening for our client in Yorktown Heights, NY.

     

    Duration:** **12 months with likely extension

    Duties:

    + Develop and execute functional verification plans for complex semiconductor chip designs.

    + Create and maintain testbenches using VHDL and Verilog.

    + Perform simulation-based verification using industry-standard tools such as VCS, Verdi, and Xcelium.

    + Utilize Linux scripting (shell, Perl, etc.) to automate verification tasks and workflows.

    + Support hardware-based logic emulation activities leveraging emulators from Synopsys, Siemens, and Cadence.

    + Collaborate with design, validation, and hardware teams to ensure comprehensive verification coverage.

    + Analyze and debug simulation failures and hardware emulation issues.

    + Apply working knowledge of PCIe and other interface protocols to verification activities.

    Skills:

    + Fluent in VHDL with basic Verilog knowledge.

    + Strong Linux scripting skills (shell, Perl, etc.).

    + Familiarity with C/C++ programming.

    + Understanding of PCIe protocol and hardware implementation; exposure to other interface standards is a plus.

    + Proficient with simulation and debug tools such as VCS, Verdi, and Xcelium.

    + Solid foundation in hardware-based logic emulation methodologies.

    + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

    Experience:

    + Hands-on experience with chip design and verification projects.

    + Prior work with hardware emulators from Synopsys, Siemens, and/or Cadence is highly desirable.

    + Experience in functional verification planning, environment setup, test development, and coverage closure.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
