    CTG is seeking to fill a Etch Tool Technician opening for our client in Albany, NY.

     

    **Location:** Albany, NY

    **Duration:** 8 months

     

    12hr shifts on a 4/3 day rotation- this is an overnight role

     

    Semiconductor Research has a need for a self-motivated, responsible etch technician. This technician will support etch fab operations including addressing lot faults, recovering tools failing quals, and executing action plans for troubleshooting. The job will require he individual to work an overnight shift to ensure issues are resolved in a timely basis and/or communicated between shifts.

    Duties:

    + Ensure etch tool qualifications are run and stable in accordance with established qual plans.

    + Communicate and execute recovery plans for tools failing qualifications.

    + Collaborate with the fab operations team to train personnel on the usage of etch tools.

    + Investigate and recover faulted lots independently where possible, or escalate to the engineering team as needed.

    + Provide overnight shift support to maintain continuous fab operations and ensure timely issue resolution and cross-shift communication.

    Skills:

    + Strong understanding of semiconductor fab processes, particularly in etch operations.

    + Familiarity with SiView and wSPC systems.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    + Ability to maintain high energy and focus during 12-hour overnight shifts.

    Experience:

    + 0–2 years of semiconductor fab experience.

    + 0–2 years using SiView and wSPC systems.

    + 2+ years of experience in a self-motivated and proactive work environment.

    Education:

    + Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in an engineering or scientific field of study required.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
