ATS Scientific Products is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have immediate openings for a Machine Operator -1st Shift. Hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 330pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO

+ Ability to perform various operations on wet cut saw and beveling equipment

+ Use applicable measuring instruments to assure specifications

+ Advise supervision of any out of standard condition that occurs

+ Advise supervision when repairs or supplies are required

+ Select appropriate fixtures for cutting

+ Ability to complete required paperwork

+ Must observe all safety precautions rules and regulations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

+ Mathematical skills

+ High School Diploma

+ Ability to speak read and write in English

+ Basic practical knowledge of manufacturing practices and cost estimating of machinery are required as part of the function of this position and can be learned on the job

+ Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form

+ Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures

+ Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods

+ Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts

+ Report defect in any equipment or protective device

+ Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks

+ Attend all required health, safety and environmental training

+ Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor

+ Assist in investigating accidents/incidents

+ Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
