Job Summary:

The Assistant Master Model Builder (AMMB) is a guest facing role that is crucial to the LEGO experience by proactively inspiring and teaching guests to create interesting and imaginative builds. The AMMB consistently Champions guest engagement and a shared build experience, giving the guests the opportunity to interact directly with a Model Builder. The AMMB will work with the Master Model Builder (MMB) to offer workshops involving different levels of challenge/complexity to broaden the appeal and inspire the builders of today (and tomorrow!).

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED. Must be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service, have a creative flair and the ability to create and maintain exciting LEGO Models and be able to adapt their approach to suit the model brief and audience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Ability to obtain related licensures or certification as may be required to perform the essential function of the position or as required by law. T

• Supports the MMB and can clearly and confidently explain builds/design process.

• Genuine enthusiasm for our Attractions and LEGO products that inspires others.

• Comfortable on camera with TV, social media, and other forms of PR

• Supports the MMB to build effective working partnerships with Marketing, Brand, PR & Operations

• Approaches “play” from a child’s perspective

• Understands nuance between speaking to children at different age ranges.

• Can talk to kids on their level, without condescension.

• Eye contact, get on their level, energy matching.

• Growth Mindset / Humility

• Emphasizes the process in which we can improve; desire to share that journey with kids (and adults!)

• Hobbyist Mentality

• Can see a project through from idea to finished, polished, product and be wholly responsibly for all parts of that process.

• Willing to try new things to learn, share and improve.

• Passion for creating, regardless of medium.

• Spatial Art Skills

• Sculpture, 3D modeling, Costume Design, Set Design etc.

• Originality of ideas • De-emphasis of brands, I.P.s as driver of passions

• Playfulness in design

• Creates with intent to create joy, rather than/in addition to impress.

• Love of LEGO

• History with the toy / brand

• Decent knowledge base of the LEGO brand

• Comes to it from a kid’s perspective, not just as an AFOL.

• Strong desire to share their passion.

Pay Range

USD $20.00/Hr.
