We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long\-Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift \(FVL\) modernization effort\. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High\-Speed Vertical Take\-Off and Landing \(HSVTOL\) program, a next generation stop\-fold aircraft\.
This position is on site in Fort Worth, TX at Bell's headquarters\.
Production Certification Sr Specialist
This position serves as a subject matter expert, potential unit member and administrator in Bell's FAA Organization Designation Authorization \(ODA\) group providing inspection services for Type Certification, Supplemental Type Certification, Production Certification, and Maintenance, Repair & Alteration projects\.
This role is responsible for coordinating between the Bell ODA, Bell's Quality Organization and Commercial Program Organization to support expansion of the Production Certificate, to include addition of the Amarillo and Piney Flats facilities\.
This person will act as the primary point of contact to the FAA Certificate Management office\.
What you'll be doing as a Production Certification Sr Specialist:
Achieve authorization as a Bell ODA unit member
Maintain currency in Bell ODA and FAA training requirements
Perform FAA Conformity Inspection of parts, installations, test and test setups
Lead indirect team in creating more effective and efficient TC program conformity management tools and systems\. Providing coordination to the team and maintain primary communication with executive leadership\.
Work closely and coordinate with Bell's Quality Organization, Configuration Management, and Engineering Flight Test teams to create and implement robust configuration management tools for experimental Flight Test Vehicles
Lead coordination efforts and provide expertise and leadership in maintaining and expanding BTI Production Certificate to support commercial programs\.
Act as primary ODA representative in coordination with Bell's Quality Organization and Commercial Program Organization to support expansion of the Production Certificate for new Aircraft Models and extension into new facilities\.
Assist commercial programs when required to define FAA conformity inspection requirements
Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with the FAA
Review and assess impact of proposed FAA policy / rule changes, provide feedback to regulators to clearly communicate concerns
This role will be a source and mentor for developing additional unit members, when required
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role:
Strong background and familiarity with FAA Type and Production Certification processes and procedures
Strong background in, and experience with, company and FAA conformity processes
Previous experience with AS9100 or similar standards strongly preferred
Previous experience as a FAA Designee in a Manufacturing/Production environment preferred
Experience working with FAA Certificate Management Section \(previously MIDO\) personnel preferred
What you need to be successful:

Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience\. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered\.
Minimum of 15 years' work experience with quality control methodologies and determining product acceptance to design data in the aviation/aerospace industry
Ability to travel within the United States up to 25%
