**Location** : 7975 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, 32822 / will float to Winter Park and Orlando offices
The community you’ll be caring for:
• More than 800 physicians, 450 advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services.
• AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.
• In existence since 1994, AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL has demonstrated consistent growth and stability in an ever-changing health care market.
The role you’ll contribute:
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.

• Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results
• Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures
• May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty
• May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs
• Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required
• Is responsible for maintaining OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
**Minimum qualifications** :
• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1 Years of practical medical assisting experience
• 1 Years of the medical assistant certifications
• Experience with computers
• Graduate of a medical assisting program in lieu of experience
o Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
o American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)
o Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)-AMT for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
o National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
o National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
o CNHA - Certified Nursing Home Administrators for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
o American Registry of Medical Assistants (“ARMA”)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
Preferred qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
