    Seal Rock Healthcare, part of the Atlantic Heights Community, is a fully-licensed Medicaid/Medicare-certified facility offering 105 beds. Our Maintenance Team at Seal Rock supports our entire Atlantic Heights Community which includes The Inn, an 80 apartment assisted living and The Cottages, 45 independent living cottages.     Position Summary: Baker

     

    Shift: Monday through Friday 4:30am-1:00pm

     

    The Baker is responsible for the production of all menu deserts, breakfast pastries as indicated on the four week posted menu. In addition, the Baker will have creativity in baking additional baked goods for our Hospitality Center, Internet Cafe, special events, and birthday parties.

     

    This position requires our baker to research and test different pastry and dessert items on a regular basis as time permits in the course of their workday.

    Baker tasks include but not limited to:

    + Responsible for opening the kitchen and unlocking all pertinent areas.

    + Knowledgeable in turning on all essential equipment and operation of each associated with the job of baking

    + Assumes the responsibilities of calculating recipes to achieve the correct yields.

    + Knowledge in measuring, weighing, and mixing any ingredients

    + Reviews menu daily prior to any baking preparations to assure proper established recipes and supplies are present and available.

    + Assist in daily and weekly cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning logs, facility policies, and procedures, and state and federal regulations.

    + Clean and maintain worktables, mixers, ovens, ingredient bins, refrigerators, and freezers as required or directed.

    + Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times

    + Decorates cakes and attractive platters for display in Hospitality Center, Internet Cafe, and special events.

    + Performs other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed by the Food Service Director

    Education Requirements:

    High School Diploma

    Experience Requirements:

    1 year experience in large volume baking
