Summary Leads and coordinates assigned production product launch activities. Works closely with program, plant, sales, engineering and tooling/automation personnel to develop and execute production plans that meet the goals of the company and in accordance with customer expectations. Supports bid and proposal efforts as required to secure new business.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of APQP, lean manufacturing, quality standards and engineering standards / GD&T preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Determine and document the production needs for a successful product launch through collaboration with cross functional team and review of customer provided information.
+ Initiate, monitor and maintain plant APQP efforts for identified product launches
+ Coordinate cross functional plant meetings for make/buy and long lead order decisions
+ Coordinate efforts to define purchasing flow down requirements and supplier selections
+ Support plant production floor layout reviews to determine if any changes are needed.
+ Support internal audits of process controls, gauges and PFMEA
+ Organize, document, monitor and verify operations has addressed all tooling, equipment and resource needs to start production.
+ Oversee and monitor initial production until FAI or PPAP is complete.
Additional Duties:
+ Organize and plan internal and external launch meetings to assure work is being performed to plan and that risks are being appropriately addressed.
+ Provide inputs and updates to program schedule(s) as required
+ Develop and maintain action item lists & lessons learned for each launch as required.
+ Using MS Project or a similar tool, develop and manage launch schedules to assure manufacturing deliverables are on time and meet quality requirements.
+ Complete capacity studies as needed to determine if current equipment is sufficient.
+ Assist plant with planning, coordinating and monitoring facility needs with new equipment installs
+ Coordinates production initiatives related to change management and root-cause analysis for implementation of changes/corrective actions
