General Summary/Responsibilities:

The increasing impact of market forces on health care management requires Nurse Managers to be correspondingly

alert to match their activities to these market forces. The leading health care organizations of the future will be able

to demonstrate superior medical outcomes, operate in a more seamless system, and have a competitive cost

structure advantage. The Nurse Manager has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services and must

collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community

segment consistent with our position as the Region’s Leader in health care delivery.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

Additional requirements:

• Type of degree: Nursing

• Area of study or major: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

• Preferred educational qualifications: Masters

• Position specific testing requirement: N/A

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current CPR at time of hire.

• Valid Nursing License in the State of Ohio

• ACLS required within 90 days of hire

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience

Preferred experience: 3 years minimum of progressive leadership experience is preferred
