    About the role

     

    Seeking qualified IFM professional with experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments to lead delivery of Facilities Management services for two dynamic CDMO sites.

     

    As a CBRE Facilities Director, you will serve as the primary client contact for the delivery of integrated facilities management services to critical client cGMP manufacturing facilities.

     

    This job is responsible for providing support to corporate clients for facilities maintenance, repairs, and capital investment plans to ensure continuous up-time.

     

    What you’ll do

     

    Provide leadership and formal supervision to employees. Set clear performance expectations and monitor the training and development of engineering, maintenance and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

     

    Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

     

    Review the client's strategic plans for appropriate staffing levels to meet expectations.

     

    Lead project and operating budgets and reporting for two properties.

     

    Build action plans to improve financial positions. Handle negotiations for subcontracted services.

     

    Meet with the client management team and appropriate department customers regularly to plan work and ensure alignment on objectives, timelines and service delivery.

     

    Apply a robust knowledge of the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.

     

    Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.

     

    Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

     

    Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards.

     

    What you’ll need

     

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred with 8-12 years of relevant industry experience within critical environments (Life Sciences, Pharma, Manufacturing). In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Facility Management certification preferred.

     

    Experience with new building startup and commissioning preferred.

     

    Experience with client and key customer relationship management and ability to clearly communicate with strong verbal and written communication skills.

     

    Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, conveying performance expectations, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is required.

     

    Experience working in regulated environments governed by Quality Agreements and Good Manufacturing Practices.

     

    Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while driving improvement through root cause analysis and lessons learned.

     

    Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function. Experience managing and detailing performance to Key Performance Indicators, SLA’s, and other relevant business metrics while adhering to SOP’s and relevant industry standards.

     

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation is about $165,000 annual base salary plus 15% target bonus with some potential flexibility based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
