This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in processing union payrolls
How do you excel in this position
This position is responsible for the weekly union and non-union payroll processing for all Stark entities, updating and maintaining payroll records, preparing certified payroll reports according to the Davis-Bacon Act and provides reporting and administrative support to Finance and Human Resources. The ideal candidate has prevailing wage knowledge and experience with multiple rates and job classifications. Must have strong analytical skills and ability to balance payroll before processing to ensure 100% accuracy.
What are we looking for
+ Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
+ At least 5 years' experience working independently processing union payroll and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements required. Multiple state payroll experience is a plus.
+ Prior experience with certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage at the federal, state and county level.
+ Working knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws required.
+ Experience with UKG, Vista and/or Workforce Mgmt. Ready is preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of products required.
+ Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills required.
+ Must be detail-oriented due to the nature of our business.
+ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain organized is required.
+ Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
