Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join our team in Delmar, New York. In this role, you will provide critical support to the sales staff by managing customer accounts, ensuring the accuracy of sales orders, and delivering exceptional service. This in-house position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate orders for accuracy, including pricing, appointment details, and quantities, across all platforms.

• Input sales orders for non-automated customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Document and address order-related issues for key accounts including temperature reports and appointment scheduling updates.

• Maintain and update item details in Business Central, ensuring accurate setup and modifications.

• Track customer rejections, update relevant reports, and communicate findings to production teams.

• Assist with creating sales presentations and pulling data reports using Power BI and other tools.

• Respond to customer questionnaires and provide timely, clear communication.

• Support the planning and logistics team as needed, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration.

• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics or distribution.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Business Central or similar sales transaction platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal teams and customers.

• Experience with data reporting tools preferred.

• A solid understanding of planning and logistics processes is a plus.

Note: You will travel to western NY facility (ask questions and learn at the facilities, and shadow office staff).
