Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for a Tax Manager at a Private Equity Firm. This is a full-time permanent role based in San Francisco with a Hybrid schedule.

Our client, a prestigious private equity firm managing ~$10B in assets, specializes in transformative investments across buyouts, leveraged acquisitions, growth capital, and more. Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and review federal and state tax filings prepared by external advisors.

+ Collaborate with advisors to prepare supporting work papers and resolve tax-related matters.

+ Manage tax calendars, ensuring timely deliverables and payments.

+ Address tax inquiries from limited partners and coordinate responses.

+ Track tax payments and manage tax notices.

+ Support tax filing coordination for 30+ portfolio companies' intermediate entities.

+ Assist in General Partner accounting, reporting, and annual financial statements.

+ Maintain capital accounts for affiliated entities.

Requirements

+ 5+ years of tax experience with private equity partnership experience.

+ Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with QuickBooks and Investran.

+ Expertise in asset management taxation, including partnership allocations, Schedule K-1s, and tax return preparation.

+ Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large datasets.

+ Excellent communication skills, a quick learner, and detail-oriented.

+ A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and embrace learning opportunities.

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher.
