Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our hi-tech client’s dynamic team in York County, PA. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, results-driven, and possess a deep understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position plays a critical role in financial reporting, internal controls, and supporting business functions to ensure high levels of financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
+ General Ledger Management: Perform month-end and year-end closing duties, including adjusting journal entries, account reconciliations, and balancing.
+ GAAP Compliance: Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, resolve accounting policy questions, and educate team members on best practices.
+ Internal Controls: Help maintain and monitor the company’s internal control structure to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
+ Financial Data Integrity: Support the creation and implementation of processes to ensure the accuracy of financial data, including capturing sales, cost, and profitability measures.
+ Policy Development: Assist in formulating, updating, and documenting accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
+ Inventory Controls: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and oversee inventory control processes.
+ Treasury Functions: Provide support for various treasury-related activities, including cash flow management and forecasting.
+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting, filings, and payments.
+ Audit Support: Provide supporting documentation and information for audits, tax filings, and third-party financial reviews.
+ Financial Analysis: Assist with building financial reports, models, forecasts, and analyses to aid in decision-making.
+ Special Projects: Contribute to acquisitions, integrations, and other key business initiatives as required.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
+ At least 5 years of substantive professional accounting experience.
+ Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced-level skills required).
+ Solid experience with General Ledger systems, ERP systems, and associated interfaces.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Collaborative team player with high emotional intelligence.
+ Demonstrated ability to adapt to challenges and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ CPA certification is highly desirable.
+ Experience working in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments.
+ Expertise in manufacturing or service industry cost accounting.
+ Robust experience working with ERP systems and financial technology platforms.
