Energy Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Energy Engineer to join our growing team. In this entry-level position, you will play a crucial role in promoting energy efficiency by conducting site visits, analyzing energy usage data, and contributing to various energy conservation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct site visits to identify and confirm potential electric and gas conservation measures.
+ Collect and evaluate project documentation, including utility bills, as-built drawings, and relevant project information.
+ Identify and estimate applicable energy efficiency incentives and analyze energy usage data to uncover opportunities for improvement.
+ Prepare high-quality reports and presentations using effective writing and verbal communication skills.
+ Calculate cost savings and return on investment (ROI) for energy-efficient upgrades.
+ Perform detailed energy savings calculations and spreadsheet analyses.
+ Review architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans to assess energy efficiency and determine feasibility.
+ Inspect and monitor energy systems such as HVAC and daylighting to evaluate energy use and potential savings.
+ Provide consultation on climate control systems, energy modeling, and sustainable design practices.
+ Utilize energy modeling software, including eQuest, DOE2, Carrier HAP, and TRANE TRACE.
Qualifications:
+ A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
+ 1+ year of experience with ASHRAE audits
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
+ Familiarity with energy modeling software is a plus.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
