Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description

In this role you will be conducting mechanical and electrical tests for a new product line. You will collaborate with the product design team to establish product testing parameters, assist in test and validation planning, and execute tests and test cases according to the test plan. You will also be responsible for developing test procedures, working with Test Technicians to complete tests, and designing and constructing test fixtures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues, analyze test results, and provide recommendations to design teams. Creating detailed test reports, researching and selecting lab instrumentation, and maintaining and calibrating lab equipment are also key aspects of this role. You will utilize data processing and visualization tools such as MATLAB, and use communication protocols and associated tools such as CAN.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with product design team to determine product testing parameters.

+ Assist in test and validation planning per project.

+ Execute tests and test cases according to the test plan.

+ Develop and document test procedures.

+ Work with Test Technicians to complete tests.

+ Design and construct test fixtures.

+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues.

+ Analyze test results and provide recommendations to design teams.

+ Create detailed test reports.

+ Research and select lab instrumentation.

+ Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in test engineering.

+ Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.

+ Proficiency in developing test plans and validation testing.

+ Experience with MATLAB and lab instrumentation.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills.

+ Familiarity with test equipment and data acquisition systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's of Science in an engineering-related field.

+ 3+ years of experience in a test engineering role.

+ Experience in the on-road or off-road vehicle, automotive, or transportation industry preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
