    Job Description

    Contractors will be responsible for general laborer duties on new construction roofing projects. Job duties include removing debris, using shovels, cutting up material and loading onto carts, hauling away trash and dumping, assisting with laying insulation, attaching material, and cleaning up material and tools to keep the work area organized.

    Responsibilities

    + Remove debris from the work site

    + Use shovels and other hand tools for material handling

    + Cut up material and load onto carts

    + Haul away trash and dump into bins

    + Assist with laying insulation and attaching material

    + Clean up materials and tools to maintain an organized work area

    + Perform various laborer duties on the roof, which may change day-to-day

    Essential Skills

    + Experience working on a construction job site

    + Comfortable using basic hand tools such as shovels

    + Ability to perform manual labor

    + Experience with power tools

    + Familiarity with concrete work

    + Experience with roofing

    + Carpentry skills

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in labor-intensive jobs such as concrete

    + Experience performing manual labor for 10+ hours a day

    + Steel toe boots required

    + Shirt sleeves must be at least 4 inches

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work on new construction job sites, specifically on the roofs of buildings with low-slope roofing. Safety guards are in place 6+ feet from the edge of the building. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, as you will be exposed to the elements. The job involves 10-hour shifts with a fluctuating start time, beginning as early as 6:00 AM. The work schedule is Monday – Thursday Steel toe boots are required, and the company will provide the rest of the PPE. Candidates must be comfortable working outside in the heat and cold.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
