    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a balanced expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems to join our innovative packaging company. The ideal candidate should possess over 3 years of hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packaging equipment, particularly liquid packaging machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot packaging equipment, specifically liquid packaging machines as well as pumps, blenders, conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, scales, x-ray machines, metal detectors, wrappers, and palletizers.

    + Perform 480v electrical troubleshooting and wiring, including replacing 3 phase motors, fuses, etc.

    + Diagnose and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

    + Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and manage their inputs and outputs.

    + Utilize Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs for system operations.

    + Address mechanical issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Replace, troubleshoot, and repair photo eyes.

    + Execute MIG and TIG welding and fabrication tasks.

    + Implement preventative maintenance procedures.

    + Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems effectively.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

    + Experience in preventative maintenance and mechanical systems.

    + Skilled in PLC troubleshooting and HMI program use.

    + Competence in managing VFDs, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge in liquid packaging and 480V electrical systems.

    + Experience working with operators and in GMP environments.

    + Bi-lingual abilities is a plus.

    + Welding and additional wiring skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility that spans 200,000 sq. ft., equipped with state-of-the-art packaging machines, conveyors, and food processing equipment. 1st and 2nd shifts open, must be available to work 6 days per week and OT.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of the NW Indiana area.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
