We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems. Develops drawings and specifications for new and modified designs. Supports manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical equipment.

Your Challenge:
+ Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems. Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs. Develops design information for use in drawings and specifications.
+ Provides engineering design, maintenance support and training for new product and equipment. Assesses new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
+ Designs and conducts experiments, collects data, and interprets results; conducts analysis and writes analysis and test reports. Capable of drawing conclusions and reconciling differences between predicted values and actual results.
+ Plans, coordinates, and executes, with guidance, a variety of engineering activities including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations.
+ Designs new equipment and machinery. May assist in building, installing, debugging, and testing new equipment to ensure production capabilities.
+ Determines maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for current and new equipment to ensure equipment is operated, maintained, and serviced properly.
+ Determines technical objectives and develops innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems. Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses.
What You Bring:
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advance degree a plus.
+ Minimum 2-10 years work experience dealing with manufacture and design of engineered products.
+ Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators and propulsors).
+ GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems, FEA methods.
+ Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews. Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities. Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
+ Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
+ Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
