    Overview

     

    Kimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Substation P&C Engineer In Training with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our diverse and fast-paced organization! This is not a remote position.

    Responsibilities

    + Support P&C design project deliverables, ranging from 4kV up to 500kV (with a particular emphasis on 115kV voltages and above)

    + Produce detailed substation P&C design packages, compliant to required client and national technical standards. Core design responsibilities include:

    + One-line diagrams

    + Three-line diagrams

    + Potential and current schematics

    + Control and Indication schematics

    + Communication Interconnections

    + Wiring Diagrams

    + Equipment Sizing and Specifications

    + I/O mapping

    + Construction Documentation / Outage Sequencing

    + Procurement and Construction Support

    Qualifications

    + 2+ years of protection & control engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sector

    + ETAP experience is a plus

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

    + EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required

    + Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

    + I/O mapping

    + Construction documentation/outage sequencing

    + Superior verbal and written communication skills

    + The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively

    + The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
