Where You’ll Work
This will be a remote position located in Lenexa, Kansas.
What You’ll Do
This position will be responsible for ensuring the grammatical, stylistic, and formatting accuracy of all written medical materials. This role requires a meticulous approach to content review, adherence to established style guides, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, publication-ready documents.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct thorough reviews of written medical content to identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
+ Ensure all materials align with designated style guides, primarily adhering to APA formatting conventions and organizational editorial standards.
+ Edit and revise content to enhance clarity, consistency, and overall readability, while maintaining the intended meaning and technical accuracy.
+ Collaborate closely with internal content creators, including medical writers and subject matter experts, to ensure that all materials meet established quality benchmarks and project requirements.
+ Provide constructive editorial feedback to authors, recommending improvements and ensuring that final deliverables reflect both scientific rigor and professional presentation.
+ Maintain detailed records of edits and style adjustments to support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience:
What You'll Bring to CHA
+ Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
+ Proven experience editing medical, scientific, or technical content, with a strong command of APA style.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to maintain consistency and accuracy across complex documents.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
+ Proficiency with standard editing software and document management systems.
+ Familiarity with medical terminology and regulatory documentation standards preferred.
