Behavioral Health Department Assistant - PRN

**Work location:** Texas Health HEB 1600 Hospital Parkway TX 76022
**Work hours:** PRN (As Needed, not eligible for benefits)
**Travel Requirements:** Float between 4 Behavioral Health entities as needed (Seay Center, Springwood, Dallas Behavioral Health, and Addiction Recovery Center)
Here’s What You Need
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 1 Year office experience Preferred
What You Will Do
• Provides various administrative clinical support services (admissions, scheduling, ensures applicable legal/ethical/compliance documents are obtained and signed by appropriate parties).
• Meets and exceeds the standards of patient care and safety:
• Consistently monitors patient activity and collects and documents patient data according to unit standards.
• Proficiently identifies escalating behaviors/signs and symptoms in patients and immediately notifies Intake Staff
• Demonstrates the ability to provide breathalyzer testing and vital sign checks per entity protocol
• Maintains and provides service recovery efforts
• Collects and inventories patient belongings per unit standards
• Completes unit tasks as needed (i.e. making charts, breaking down charts, copying and faxing)
• Maintains daily Epic work queue
