    Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Our Integrated Security team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex security solutions for EchoStar. As a **Security Systems Technician** , you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing installations according to plans provided by our Project Managers.

     

    A typical day could see you working on a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, patching server software, on a man-lift installing a camera, installing a badge reader, or providing service coordination for a remote facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, IP Cameras, and intrusion alarm systems

    + Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance

    + Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation

    + Technician 24-hour on-call rotation

    + Travel is required on an as-needed basis, typically 10%-15% but can fluctuate

     

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Skills and Qualifications:

    + Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) is required

    + Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred

    + Programming experience preferred

    + Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred (ie. AMAG, Axis, Milestone, Bosch, etc.)

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Valid Driver’s License and clean record

    + Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset

    Salary Ranges

     

    Compensation: $27.02/Hour - $38.70/Hour

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
